Out and About & Scary Movies!
My name is Bobbie Renee Davis but everyone calls me Rockie. Because I am self directing I have a one-on-one (that is also my friend) and a van so I can do anything I want.
I love living at home where I can workout with my own weights and boxing bags and swim in my pool. I enjoy doing things with my niece and nephew and aunts.
I love to learn so I go to CCBC Single Step classes. I’ve learned to cook, the history of music and art, and even taken psychology and anatomy. I love acting and I go Thursdays to Sky’s the Limit. I enjoy movies and the theatre and go often. My favorite is scary movies and I was able to see Ghostbusters at the BSO, John Waters at his movie premiere of Mom & Dad, and attend MonsterMania to meet scary movie actors.
I have 2 dogs that I can take for a walk and to the vets. With my one-on-one I get my hair done and meet my friends out in the community. I love having the freedom to decide what to do every day. My support broker has been wonderful and introduced me and my family to many activities and programs.
Before self-directing I went to a program during the week and sometimes the bus ride was hours long. My weekend seemed short because I was tired.
