SDAN has been working with both houses of the Maryland legislature to pass a bill supporting, restoring and protecting self-direction in Maryland. It is HB-318 in the House of Delegates, where it is being considered in the Health and Government Operations (HGO) Committee (testimony given 1/26/21). In the Senate, it is SB-441, and we will be testifying on 2/16/21. SDAN is very grateful to our sponsors- Delegate Karen Lewis Young in the House of Delegates and Senator Susan Lee in the Senate. If you happen to be in their districts, please thank them for their support of self-direction.
