SELF-DIRECTION ACT PASSES BOTH CHAMBERS UNANIMOUSLY!!!
We are very excited to announce that HB1020/SB868- The Self-Direction Act of 2022 has past its final hurdle in the Maryland State Senate and was passed unanimously. This follows unanimous passage in the House of Delegates last week.
The bill now heads to the Governor’s desk to be signed, vetoed or allowed to pass into law without signature.
We ask all of our members to please publicly thank your Delegate and Senator for their support. You can post messages on their Facebook pages, their Instagram accounts and/or their Twitter feeds. We think the best time to do this is after the session is over- perhaps Monday- when they will have time to read their social media.
